Reserve police welcomed into the ranks
A passing-out ceremony recognised the arrival of seven new officers to the Bermuda Reserve Police.
Reserve constables Lorry Fernandies, Sadoya Peynado, Jessica James, Michell James, Bharani Mookaiya, Kenneth Vandrine and Sharmaric Ali were officially sworn into voluntary service on January 29 at the Police Recreation Club hall in Prospect, Devonshire.
The ceremony was led by Darrin Simons, the Commissioner of Police, with Commandant Ron-Michel Davis and Deputy Commandant Shawn Russell, in front of members of the senior police leadership team and the BRP executive team, along with family and friends.
Reserve police officers are trained to the same standards as their career Bermuda Police Service colleagues.
Volunteering allows them to enhance policing while still pursuing their primary professions.
