The Government has helped to celebrate the unveiling of a social club’s refurbished hall after a month of renovations.

The Leopards Club this week unveiled the completed work during a ceremony highlighting contributions of longstanding members.

An $85,000 government grant helped to get the job done after the club was one of several organisations to receive assistance.

Owen Darrell, the Minister of Tourism, Transport, Culture and Sport, said: “The Leopards Club has maintained a steady role in Bermuda’s community life for many years.

“Organisations like this strengthen neighbourhood connections and provide important spaces for engagement.”

The club started renovations in mid-January and plans to rent the space for extra revenue.

The work made headlines after a mural of a leopard created during the 1950s was found in the middle of the hall.
