Families enjoyed an afternoon of fun with their children at the Premier’s annual Easter egg hunt on the lawn of the Cabinet Office yesterday.

David Burt and his wife, Kristin, hosted pupils who attend public nursery and preschools at the event.

The event featured several activities including face painting, a fun castle, games and the Easter egg hunt.

A special visit from the Easter bunny, who danced with the children, added to the atmosphere.

Mr Burt thanked the Cabinet Office staff, public officers, and local vendors who supported the event and helped ensure its success.

Mr Burt said: “For those who observe, Easter marks the Resurrection, and it also comes at the time of year when everything begins to feel new again.

“Seeing the children out today, enjoying themselves and taking part in this tradition, is part of what makes this day meaningful.

“I thank everyone who helped to organise this event and make it possible each year.”
