Belco has reminded residents of planned outages that will affect areas in Paget.

The disruption will impact Southcote Road, Treadway Lane, Hilton Drive and parts of South Road between 9am and 5pm.

A Belco spokesman said that the outages were designed to help replace a faulty switch, tighten overhead conductors and replace crossarms and insulators.

He added that new poles had already been installed and were ready to be transferred.

“These upgrades will strengthen the network and support a safe and reliable electricity service for customers,” the spokesman said.

He reminded the public that the publicised work times were approximate and that “every effort” would be made to minimise the length of supply disruptions.

In the event of inclement weather or operational changes, the outage will be rescheduled for tomorrow for the same time.
