A water leak has forced the temporary closure of the archives section in the Government Administration Building.

A spokesman for the Ministry of the Cabinet Office and Digital Innovation said the closure was necessary to allow repair works and ensure the safety of staff, visitors and archival materials.

He added: “At this time, the archives section is expected to remain closed for approximately two days while repairs are completed.

“Every effort is being made to restore normal operations as quickly as possible.

“The public is encouraged to postpone any planned visits to the archives section during this period.

“Updates will be provided should the closure need to be extended or if services resume earlier than anticipated.”
