Recent Bermudian graduates are being encouraged to apply for a programme that provides 12 months of paid, structured workplace experience.

The Department of Workforce Development has relaunched its Graduate Apprenticeship Programme under a new name for 2026-27.

Beginning in January, the programme will place six graduates, aged 18 to 26, and who graduated with a bachelor’s or master’s degree between September 2024 and 2026, with host employers in fields aligned with their qualifications, career interests and professional development goals.

Jason Hayward, the Minister of Economy and Labour, said: “The Graduate Traineeship Programme is an investment in Bermuda’s young professionals.

“By providing graduates with meaningful workplace experience and opportunities to develop practical skills, we are helping bridge the gap between academic achievement and employment while strengthening our local workforce.”

Placements will focus on six priority sectors, including allied health, information technology, business administration, hospitality, the blue-green economy and skilled trades.

Participants may also receive support towards relevant professional certifications or designations.

Applications close on November 13. Applicants must submit their completed application and all supporting documents within this period.

Applications can be submitted online.
