Toby Wright maintains unbeaten form in snooker league

Toby Wright maintained his unbeaten run to give Spanish Point Boat Club II a 5-1 victory over Spanish Point Boat Club I in the Bermuda Snooker Association League.

Wright triumphed over Point I's Alan Smith 48-35 on the black ball, as he continued to make an impact in his debut season. Tyler Moniz made it 2-0 when he dispatched Point I's Chris Dakin 67-23 in the next match.

Point I captain, Stewart Greenslade however, pulled one back with a 44-30 win over Richard Burton in the third frame. Captain John Orr restored the two-frame lead when he beat point 1's Dakin 43-18 in the fourth.

The fifth frame saw Burton make it 4-1 for Point II, following a 42-30 victory over Smith. Moniz completed the 5-1 win for Point II, when he beat Greenslade 39-25 in the final frame.

Spanish Point Boat Club II followed that win with a 5-1 success against Warwick Workmen’s Club I at Warwick.

Winslow Smith opened the scoring for Warwick when he beat Burton 70-19. This was before Wright levelled things up, with a 70-18 victory over Sherun Zuill in the second frame.

Moniz put Point in front, when he overcame Warwick captain, Pamela Bremar, 47-5 in their first meeting. When the pair met for the second time, Moniz triumphed 50-9.

Wright persisted with his brilliant exploits to make it four for Point, when he dispatched Warwick's Winslow Smith, 64-48 in the fifth match.

Burton sealed the victory for Point II when he overcame Warwick's Sherun Zuill, 56-39 in the final frame.

Spanish Point Boat Club I suffered yet another loss, beaten 4-2 by Watford Sports Club in a rescheduled fixture.

Watford's Keino Zuill defeated Dakin 62-15 in the first of two frames together. Kidd Mouchette extended the lead for Watford, when he dispatched Smith 39-30 on the black ball in the first of two frames together.

The third match saw the two captains lock horns, Greenslade claiming a 63-34 victory over Watford's Aaron Bean, to make it 2-1 in Watford’s favour.

The fourth frame had Mouchette and Smith squaring off for their second time, Mouchette again getting the better of his rival, with a score of 48-36.

Zuill continued the success for Watford, when he narrowly saw off Dakin 50-48 on the black ball.

In the second battle of the captains, it was Greenslade who once again triumphed for Point, when he registered a convincing 62-28 victory over Bean.

In the only match played on Wednesday, defending league champions Sandys Boat Club were 5-1 victorious over Warwick Workmen’s Club I at Sandys.

Paul Fedden got the defending champions off to a flying start, when he comfortably defeated Bremar, 82-14 in the first frame.

It was 2-0 to SBC, Peter Bromby 62-30 victorious over Winslow Smith in the second frame. Sandy's Captain, Martin Siese made it 3-0 when he overcame Sherun Zuill 52-22 in the third.

Fedden further extended the SBC lead after a narrow 46-39 win over Smith. The fifth frame saw Siese see off Bremar 69-27, before Warwick pulled one back when Sherun Zuill beat Bromby 67-39 in the final frame.
