Game Changers promises to unite the senses
The Department of Sport and Recreation will relaunch the National Sports Conference and Expo with a new dynamic series.
The Game Changers series, which brings together athletes, coaches, administrators, parents and sport leaders from across the island, will be held at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club from September 5 to 7.
The aim of the three-day event is to celebrate, strengthen and future-proof the sporting ecosystem in Bermuda.
With a dynamic mix of keynote speakers, workshops, panels and an interactive community expo, Game Changers will offer a platform for learning, connection and collaboration across all levels of sport.
Designed around three themes — “Inspire & Reflect”, “Equip & Empower”, “Showcase & Connect” — the event will explore timely and practical topics:
• Sport psychology and performance
• Nutrition and recovery strategies for athletes at all levels
• Female-specific approaches to training and injury prevention
• Athlete data protection and privacy under Bermuda’s Pipa legislation
• Volunteer recruitment and retention
• Strategic planning and governance for national sports governing bodies
• Youth pathways and high-performance development
• Sports technology and performance analytics
• Funding models and sponsorship readiness
In addition to keynote presentations and panel discussions, the conference will feature practical workshops tailored to parents, athletes, coaches and sports administrators.
On the Saturday, Game Changers will showcase local national sports governing bodies, businesses, interactive booths, sport demonstrations and family-friendly activities.
The full conference experience is available for $25 per person, while individual workshops throughout the weekend will be offered free of charge.
This pricing structure is designed to make the event accessible to a broad range of attendees, from grassroots volunteers to elite athlete support teams.
The conference is open to the public, with sessions geared towards youth and senior athletes, coaches, parents, teachers, national sports governing body leaders, club volunteers, health professionals and sports administrators.
Whether you are looking to grow your club, support your child’s development, or navigate elite athlete pathways, Game Changers offers practical tools and fresh insight to support your role.
