Lindo’s Tigers and Storm in netball title decider
An invigorating match is in store for netball fans when Lindo’s Tigers and Storm Surge battle for the Netball Bermuda Winter League title at Bernard Park Courts tomorrow.
During a season punctuated by postponements, champions Tigers, who have won all their matches this season, are top of the standings with 30 points.
Storm, whose only defeat came when they were beaten 40-27 by Tigers on December 4, are closely behind on 25 points.
With Netball Bermuda tweaking things around by awarding five points for a win this season, Storm could be champions if they triumph over Tigers, with the championship to be decided on goal difference.
Tigers captain Khianda Pearman-Watson is eagerly anticipating her team’s final league match of the season.
“Tigers are looking forward to Saturday’s match against Storm as we close out the 2025-26 Winter League season,” Pearman-Watson said.
“Our focus will be on playing clean, simple netball while also enjoying the moment. We wish Storm the very best in the final match of the season.
“We encourage everyone to come out and support, as national team players feature on both sides and it promises to be a high-quality contest.”
Debré Evans, the Storm captain, called on netball fans to come out in their numbers. “We anticipate a highly competitive match,” Evans said.
“Everyone should come out and watch. It’s going to be a good display of netball, with great talent on both sides and may the best team win.”
