Bermuda’s volleyball coaches have taken their expertise to a new level after achieving regional certification.

While the men’s and women’s teams were battling it out for medals at the 2026 Eastern Caribbean Volleyball Association championships, some of their mentors were working hard behind the scenes.

Just before the tournament, Sean Tucker completed the ECVA National Referee Training Course, designed to strengthen and raise the standard of officiating across the region.

And directly after the competition, coaches Mike Smith, Robert Saravia and Stacey Madeiros-Cooke completed the FIVB Level 1 Coaching Course, adding new knowledge and skills to their coaching toolkits.
