Sims left waiting by rain storm

Michael Sims will have to wait until this morning to begin his first round at the Bogota Open.Heavy rain delayed the start of yesterday’s opening round by five hours and more time was lost later in the day as lightning sent players rushing back to the clubhouse. When play was suspended for a second time, American Brad Elder was leading at two-under after three holes, although the lead groups had only managed to play four holes.Meanwhile, Bermuda Golf Association have released the tee times for the qualifying rounds of next week’s Amateur Match Play Championships. The top 15 finishers will join defending champion Jarryd Dillas in the first flight of the men’s division, with the next 16 making up the second flight.Matches will be determined by seeding after the qualifying rounds are completed with Dillas, the top-seed, taking on the #16 seed in the top flight.
