Veteran Pearman continues to flourish

Dwayne Pearman continued to dominate his fellow professional players with his third successive under-par round in the latest event in the Jack Daniels Tour.Pearman, who won the recent Bermuda Professional Golfers Association Strokeplay Championships and followed up with a blistering seven-under par 63 at Belmont in the previous Tour event, fired a one-under par 70 at Mid Ocean Club to take the top prize of $700.His round included two birdies and just one bogey. However, he had to fend off some stiff competition from Chaka DeSilva who was tied with the Port Royal pro heading into the 18th hole before three-putting and ending with an even par 71.Daniel Augustus, who has ambitions of playing in Tour events in the US, couldn’t recover from a triple bogey eight on the par-five second hole, considered one of the easiest on the course. But he still finished third with a seven-over par 78.Tucker’s Point pro While Paul Adams endured several three putts to finish on 79 (eight-over) to place fourth.Full results, see Scoreboard, Page 24.
