Michael Sims has advanced to the second stage of PGA Tour Qualifying School - by the skin of his teeth.The Bermudian pro shot a two-over-par 74 during today's final round at the 7,147-yard Lantana Golf Club layout in Texas, USA to finish tied for 18th.Only the top 18 qualifiers and ties advanced to the second round of PGA Tour Qualifying School to be held next month."It was obviously a bit too close for comfort," Sims told The Royal Gazette. "But I guess the key thing is that I got through, which is all that mattered."Sims' final round included two birdies, two bogeys and a double bogey at the par 3, 15th hole.He completed the 72-hole tournament at four-under-par 284 along with four other golfers.Australian Daniel Nisbet (264) won this week's tournament in Texas by a commanding 12 shots over nearest rival Robert Lopez (276).
