Fairmont Southampton have announced a new partnership with Goslings to operate the World Par 3 Championship, to be known as The Dark N Stormy World Par 3 Championship at the iconic Turtle Hill Golf Club. In its eleventh year, the world’s premier par 3 championship will take place March 5 to 7 and offer a total purse of $50,000. For the first time, the winner will qualify to play in the PGA Tour Bermuda Championship. The event is expected to attract 120 participants, including a number of noted professionals. The field will be rounded out by an impressive list of amateur golfers from Bermuda, the United States, Canada and Europe. “Fairmont Southampton is absolutely delighted to announce our partnership with Goslings for the Dark N’ Stormy World Par 3 Championship,” said Kiaran MacDonald, regional vice-president and general manager, Fairmont Southampton. “We are very proud of this event and see it as a signature event for the resort and Bermuda.” “Players can expect a challenging 18 hole par 3 course, subtropical surroundings, dramatic elevation changes and coastal winds.
