Will Haddrell sits right on the cut line after completing his first round on day two of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course this morning.

The local amateur and tournament debutant shot 72 to jump ten places on the leaderboard for a share of 58th and position himself at one over.

No local player has ventured beyond the second round in the history of the event, with Camiko Smith missing the cut by only two shots last year.

Also resuming their first round with three holes to play were fellow local duo Kenny Leseur and Oliver Betschart.

Leseur’s struggles continued as he bogeyed two his remaining holes to finish at three-over 74 and plummet down to a tie for 82nd.

Like Haddrell, Betschart also played his final holes at one under to sign off tied for 103rd on 76.
