Kenny Leseur, Will Haddrell and Oliver Betschart were among those missing the cut in the second round of the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course today.

At one stage, professional Leseur and amateur Haddrell were on course to become the first locals to advance into the weekend before ultimately coming up short.

Camiko Smith missed the cut by only two shots last year, the closest any local has come to achieving the feat.

Leseur coped best among the local trio today with an even-par round, while Haddrell shot 75 and fellow amateur Betschart 73.

Leseur topped the local field at three-over 145, followed by Haddrell two shots back and Betschart a further two adrift.

Canadian and overnight leader Adam Hadwin holds a one-shot advantage over the rest of the field, with several players still to complete their second round.
