Quality Gymnastics bring home medals from New Jersey
Athletes from Quality Gymnastics delivered impressive performances at the Shamrock Showdown in Vernon, New Jersey, over the weekend.
Under the mentorship of Fred Nicolas, members of the squad earned podium placements and strong finishes in their respective categories.
Among the standout performances were several athletes who earned honourable mentions for exceptional results.
In the Xcel Gold Division 8-10 age group, Tyla Foote delivered an outstanding all-around performance to finish second. She captured first place on floor exercise with a score of 9.450 and second place on vault with a score of 9.350.
Also competing in the same division was Ty-Leah Trott, who earned third place on bars with a score of 9.400.
In the Xcel Gold 12-year-old division, Aleyah Pacheco also had an exceptional meet, finishing second all-around. She secured first place on floor with a 9.350 and second place on beam with a score of 9.250.
In the Xcel Silver division, Raelyn Robinson, the youngest competitor on the team at just 7 years old, delivered an impressive performance, finishing fifth all-around.
Lily Hall had a strong showing in the 11-12 year-old division, where she finished eighth overall.
Competing in the Junior Olympic level six 12-year-old division, Ashanti-Sarai Darko finished seventh all-around, earning a medal as part of the top eight finishers.
The only athlete representing the club in the Xcel Platinum division was Isabella Daniels, who finished seventh all-around in the 9-11 age group.
Peter James, the president of Quality Gymnastics, commended the athletes for their display at the three-day event.
“The entire team demonstrated tremendous dedication, preparation and sportsmanship throughout the competition, earning numerous medals as part of the top eight finishers in their events,” James said.
“The team returned home on Monday, bringing back a large collection of well-earned medals and proud accomplishments from a successful weekend of competition.”
