If diabetes, high blood pressure or kidney disease run in your family this may be the presentation for you.Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre will be hosting a free event on kidney failure at the Bermuda Underwater Exploration Institute.Those in attendance will be taught how the disease relates to the Island’s culture and people.Dialysis unit director Lynette Thomas and assistant physician Wendy Outerbridge will discuss the risk factors for kidney failure, and what can be done to prevent it.The presentation will start at 6.30pm on Thursday, April 14. Health information tables and blood pressure screenings will be available between 5pm and 6.20pm.
