KEMH staff accredited in emergency cardiac care
The Bermuda Hospitals Board has been officially designated as an international training centre for emergency cardiac care courses by the American Heart Association.Twenty-one hospital staff have earned their accreditation as instructors for basic life support courses, while a further six are accredited for teaching advanced cardiovascular life support courses.Chief of Emergency Services Edward Schultz said: “Achieving this designation confirms BHB’s commitment to saving lives.“Cardiac disease is Bermuda’s number one killer of men and women.
