Hotel staff test positive for coronavirus

A hotel was forced to shut some of its bars and restaurants after staff tested positive for the coronavirus.

The move came after some staff at Rosewood Tucker’s Point in the East End, not in customer-facing roles, were found to be infected.

The hotel’s Island Brasserie restaurant, Tucker’s Bar and the Conservatory Bar and Lounge have closed for disinfection supervised by the Ministry of Health.

The incident was reported on news site TNN.

The report said that a letter had been sent to club members yesterday from Sascha Hemmann, the resort’s managing director.

A spokeswoman said the health ministry “does not comment on cases”.

Rosewood Tucker’s Point management could not be contacted for comment.
