The leader of the One Bermuda Alliance, Cole Simons, today issued a statement offering condolences to the family and friends of those who died from Covid this weekend.

Last night the Government announced that two people had succumbed to Covid-19 bringing the number of Covid-related deaths to 14.

This afternoon Mr Simons said: “On behalf of the One Bermuda Alliance, we offer our deepest condolences to the families and friends of the two people who died from Coronavirus over the weekend.

“The devastation of the pandemic is staggering. I encourage each of you to continue to strictly observe the prescribed safety protocols for your own safety, the safety of those within your bubble and the entire community.

“Please also consider taking the vaccination to mitigate any serious complications that may arise if you do contract the virus. If you have any questions, I encourage you to talk to your physician.”
