Arianna Hodgson, a Progressive Labour Party senator, has been announced as the new Junior Minister for Health.

David Burt, the Premier, said Ms Hodgson would take the Senate role from Curtis Richardson.

She will continue to hold the portfolio in the Senate for Finance as well as Labour.

Mr Richardson will continue to speak for Transport and National Security in the Senate.

Mr Burt thanked Ms Hodgson for taking the additional responsibility.

He added: “Her keen interest in public health will provide support to the minister and Ministry of Health as the Government turns its focus from the Covid-19 pandemic to healthcare reform in Bermuda.”
