CG is top tier mindful employer
An insurer has been commended by the Bermuda Mental Health Foundation for creating a psychologically safe workplace.
CG Insurance reached the platinum level of the BMHF Mindful Employer Certification programme.
The certification challenges companies to implement or enhance sound mental health policies.
James Macdonald, the BMHF board chairman, said: “[CG Insurance has] demonstrated exceptional leadership in embedding mental health awareness into their workplace culture and their platinum status reflects the highest standard of the programme and a sustained dedication to employee wellbeing.”
He added: “Through their CG Wellness initiatives, they’re inspiring a healthier workforce across Bermuda and helping to strengthen the community’s overall mental wellness ecosystem.”
BMHF directors Annie Richardson and Vaughn Mosher advise and assess the MEC programme.
Ms Richardson, who is also an HR professional, said: “Through participation in the MEC programme, companies like CG Insurance not only create a supportive workplace but also play a significant role in changing perceptions about a typically sensitive topic.”
Jacqueline Perrault, the CG director of wellness, said the certification “reflects our dedication to supporting mental wellness, not just for our employees, but also for our clients and the communities we serve”.
