Charity raffle supports men’s health lifeline
Golf fans attending the Butterfield Bermuda Championship at Port Royal Golf Course can take part in a charity raffle whose proceeds will support DailyMale Bermuda’s healthcare efforts.
Digicel Business and the Butterfield Bermuda Championship partnered for the “Tee Up for a Better World” charity raffle, continuing a tradition of giving back to the community, the telecommunications company said.
Fans can purchase $25 charity raffle tickets for a chance to win a luxury watch and the proceeds will go towards the DailyMale Bermuda, bringing vital healthcare directly to men through its mobile health truck.
The truck offers free health screenings, outreach and telehealth services.
“We chose to support DailyMale Bermuda because they are reaching men where they are, in the community,” said Shane McDonnell, head of business at Digicel Bermuda.
“Their mobile health truck removes barriers and stigma, bringing screenings and education directly to men. It’s technology with a real human purpose.”
Digicel Business provides the 5G+ connectivity that powers telehealth services on the mobile unit, enabling secure, real-time communication between patients and healthcare professionals.
Jonathan Makanjuola, founder of DailyMale Bermuda, said: “With Digicel Business 5G+, our mobile unit can connect to doctors, access digital records and provide screenings on the spot, faster than ever.”
Dr Makanjuola added: “This partnership helps us reach more men and make a lasting impact in our community.”
Danielle Carrera, tournament director, said: “The Butterfield Bermuda Championship is about more than world-class golf, it’s about giving back.
“Each year, the raffle unites fans and the community for a cause that matters.”
Fans attending the Butterfield Bermuda Championship were urged to look out for the team selling raffle tickets across the venue.
