Two Bermuda players have been acknowledged for their performances at International Street and Ball Hockey Federation Masters World Championships.

Captain Jeremy Estey was named in the tournament’s All Star Team, while Robbie Bailey, who finished with six goals, picked up the award for Forward of the Tournament.

“It’s an honour to be recognised, but it’s a team sport,” Estey said.

“I’m lucky to play with great team-mates and play in front of the many fans who came out to support our team. It was a really special week for everyone.”

Bailey was delighted that he and Estey were rewarded for their hard work .

“Winning the top forward of the tournament is an honour for me,” he said.

“Our team trained hard and wanted to put on a good show. Jeremy and I have been the leading pointscorers since 2020 and to win this award for Bermuda, against some of the top players in the game, means a lot.

“I am a bit of a pest out there, but it gives Jeremy lots of room to do his thing. I just try and get into spots where he can find me and I’ll score the goals.

“It’s a lot of fun playing together and I’m glad we both got the recognition we received, especially in front of our home town crowd.”
