Arch Insurance, a member of Bermuda’s Arch Capital Group, has launched a new blogger insurance programme.Partnering with CalSurance Associates, a division of Brown & Brown Program Insurance Services, Arch Insurance said it will provide a new liability insurance solution, BloggerShield insurance for Bloggers.BloggerShield provides affordable, customised claims-made coverage for libel, slander, defamation, copyright infringement, and privacy violation in the course of the insured’s blogging activities.The company said BloggerShield will offer options to customers such as a zero-deductible option, multiple limits option, and a supplemental claim expense limit. With the July 9, 2013 launch of this new product, bloggers can now be protected from potential lawsuits that could otherwise put both their blog content and personal assets at risk.Tom Hext, chief technology officer of CalSurance Associates and manager for the development of BloggerShield explained, “BloggerShield is a product which is long overdue in the blogging community.
