Apex Group unveils ambassador strategy

Henk Pieter van Asselt

Bermudian-founded global financial services provider Apex Group Ltd has appointed Henk Pieter van Asselt to the role of “Apex Ambassador”.

Apex said the new ambassador strategy will draw on the experience of senior executives in the industry to support the company’s commercial development.

It is expected Mr van Asselt will draw on his global network built during a career in the financial services industry, to support the growth of Apex’s client relationships. He has more than two decades of international experience in the financial services industry.

Mr van Asselt spent a decade as a member of Intertrust Group’s Management Board and executive committee, latterly as chief commercial officer. He has also held senior management roles in the banking industry, including with Fortis Bank and ABN Amro. Most recently he was external senior adviser to global consultancy Bain & Company on M&A transactions for the financial industry.

He said: “I am excited to be taking on this role with Apex which has developed an impressive business model. In recent years I have watched the company’s impressive growth trajectory with great interest, and look forward to contributing to and being part of the Group’s unique journey and continued success.”

Renaud Oury, chief revenue and data officer at Apex Group, said: “We are pleased to welcome HP [Henk Pieter] as an ‘Apex Ambassador’. With his notable connections and experience, he will play a key role in supporting our strategic goals by effectively communicating our unique value proposition in the market.
