Private equity firm Adams Street Partners adopts Apex ESG monitoring software

Andy Pitts-Tucker, managing director, Apex ESG ratings and advisory

A private equity firm has started using a real-time environment, social and governance data analytics solution developed by Bermudian-registered financial services provider Apex Group Ltd.

Adams Street Partners, which has more than $49 billion under management, said the programme will be used to provide insights into underlying fund and private company investments.

The Chicago-based company said: “The analytics platform securely processes a variety of ESG data streams to provide tailored insights during investment and operational due diligence. Adams Street is also collaborating with Apex to develop a tailored impact data collection and reporting solution for use by Adams Street in monitoring future impact investments, given the growing importance of ESG and impact investing strategies to investment managers.”

Adams Street has been a signatory of the United Nations supported Principles for Responsible Investment since 2010 and a supporter of the Task Force on Climate Related Financial Disclosures.

Andy Pitts-Tucker, managing director, Apex ESG ratings and advisory, said: “The accurate capture, analysis and reporting of quality ESG data is now critical for private markets investors.

“Our ESG ratings and impact reporting services can help users to mitigate risk, comply with regulatory requirements, and generate sustainable results.”
