Elementum appoints Douglas Duncan as chief technology officer

Douglas Duncan: appointed as chief technology officer

Elementum, the US-based alternative investment manager with an affiliated operation in Bermuda, has announced that Douglas Duncan has joined its senior team in the firm's Chicago headquarters as chief technology officer.

In his role, Mr Duncan is responsible for the firm's overall IT programme and strategy, including technology infrastructure, information security, proprietary application development and systems architecture and integration.

He joins Elementum from Columbia Insurance Group, where he was responsible for all technology activities as the organisation's chief information officer.

Elementum Advisors LLC is an independently-operated, alternative investment manager specialising in collateralised natural event reinsurance investments.

In addition to its Chicago headquarters, it has an office on the island through affiliated sub advisor Elementum (Bermuda) Ltd.
