Law firm Carey Olsen has claimed its third major award in less than two months, winning the Offshore Firm of the Year award at the Chambers High Net Worth Awards 2023.

The firm, which has an office in Bermuda, was earlier named best Offshore Law Firm at the 2023 eprivateclient Excellence Awards and Offshore Law Firm of the Year at the Chambers Europe Awards 2023.

The annual high-net-worth awards, which took place on Thursday evening at The Grand in London, recognise a law firm's pre-eminence in key jurisdictions and achievements over the past 12 months.

National and international law firms around the world received awards in 11 categories for their outstanding work, impressive strategic growth and excellence in client service.

Chambers said: “Carey Olsen continues to entrench itself as the pre-eminent offshore law firm for private wealth work.

“The firm has a market-leading trusts litigation practice headed by Keith Robinson, and it has strength in depth in advisory work both in the Channel Islands and in the Caribbean.

“Market commentary from onshore lawyers supports the view that Carey Olsen’s lawyers are among the strongest in each of the markets in which it operates and this is reflected in the firm’s rankings this year.”

The other firms shortlisted for the award were Conyers, which has an office in Bermuda, Lennox Paton, Mourant and Ogier.

Bermudian-based Mr Robinson, partner and global head of Carey Olsen's trusts and private wealth practice, said: "It is an honour to be named as Offshore Firm of the Year at this year's Chambers High Net Worth Awards. Each of the teams across our global network strive to produce the best outcome for our clients and I am delighted that their hard work and dedication has been recognised in this way."

Carey Olsen advises financial institutions, corporations and private clients on the laws of Bermuda, the British Virgin Islands, Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey from a network of nine international offices.
