Apex Group extends partnership with SailGP
Apex Group, the title partner for the Apex Group Bermuda Sail Grand Prix, has extended its global partnership with SailGP.
Bermuda-based Apex will continue to serve as the league’s official financial solutions partner for the next three years until 2028 with a key focus on advancing women’s empowerment globally and championing social inclusion in the sport.
Apex was instrumental in supporting the roll-out of the first ever SailGP Women’s Accelerator Programme, which aims to address gender disparity by increasing female representation at senior levels and supporting more inclusive decision-making.
Open to women across all SailGP departments — from on-water athletes, through to marketing, design and engineering — the programme has provided industry-leading development for its participants since inception.
The financial services provider will also take on a new role assisting the global championship with ESG reporting, including calculation and reporting of its carbon footprint in line with industry standards, and carbon reduction planning and delivery in line with SailGPs emission reduction target of 50 per cent by 2030 (from a 2024 baseline), via their ESG services brand Holtara, part of the Apex Group.
“Our partnership with SailGP is genuinely impactful, and looking forward to seeing what boundaries we can break together in the coming years,” said Apex Group chief executive officer Peter Hughes.
“As we now expand our partnership to include Official Purpose Partner, we reinvigorate our commitment to drive positive change together. I’m looking forward to the next phase in leading our respective industries to create a more sustainable future.”
The second event of the Rolex SailGP Championship 2026 Season takes place in Auckland on February 14 to 15, with the Bermuda leg being held on May 9 and 10.
