Deputy DirectorSupervision (Insurance) DepartmentThe Bermuda Monetary Authority (Authority or BMA) is seeking the services of a skilled and capable individual to work as a Deputy Director in our Supervision (Insurance) Department. Reporting to the Deputy Managing Director, the Deputy Director will be responsible for directing and managing supervisory teams/individuals to meet the goals and objectives of the group supervision section. researching and developing best practices and ensuring that the Analytics and Infrastructure Team effectively engage in the research and development of advanced analytics to cascade through the department's supervisory teams• Liaising between the Supervision (Insurance) and Policy Development Departments to facilitate the implementation of legislative changes• Leading process enhancement/development work streams, including the digital applications implementation• Contributing to the development and implementation of the BMA's strategy and policy and, in conjunction with other members of the senior management team, ensuring that the business is managed in accordance with the declared vision, values, goals and priorities of the BMA• Supporting the formulation and implementation of the Supervision (Insurance) Department's strategic initiatives• Assisting with the development of timely budgets for the effective management of the department, ensuring that controls are in place to monitor the operations and provide accountability for expenses in keeping with the goals and objectives of the BMA• Directing the preparation of report findings in the area(s) reviewed to convey information to the senior management concerning the safety, soundness and compliance with the laws and regulations pertaining to licensed entities• In conjunction with executive management, reviewing and evaluating situations where projects or time-critical tasks may be achieved through outsourcing;
