Registration opens for the 2026 Youth Employment Programme
The Government has invited businesses to provide summer positions to young adults next year through its Youth Employment Programme.
The Department of Workforce Development will cover the costs of all student wages.
Jason Hayward, the Minister of Economy and Labour, said: “Bermuda’s young people thrive when they are given real opportunities to explore careers, gain confidence and apply their education in meaningful ways.
“By opening your doors to a student this summer, you are not just filling a temporary role — you are investing in the future strength and sustainability of our economy.”
A department spokesman said participation would give businesses access to “emerging Bermudian talent and fresh perspectives”, helping the island’s workforce.
Hosts would be required to offer safe and supportive work environments with a supervisor to offer interns a simple work plan and provide performance feedback.
Employers were urged to complete and submit the Employer Host Request Form on the department’s website by December 31.
