Union in talks as Hamilton Princess housekeepers sit out

Executives of the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club agreed to talks with staff after several workers downed tools this morning.
More than 20 people, understood to be from the housekeeping department, were involved with the demonstration at the hotel’s south gate.
Representatives of the Bermuda Industrial Union arrived at about 11:30am and walked with some of the staff to meet their employers.
It is unknown what the nature of the sit-out was.
The Hamilton Princess has been contacted for comment.
