Talks prompted by industrial action at the Hamilton Princess & Beach Club concluded this afternoon after a three-hour stand-off, The Royal Gazette can report.

Khryshae Furbert-Wilson and Chris Furbert Sr, both with the Bermuda Industrial Union, confirmed at about 2pm that discussion between executives and staff had been resolved.

More than 20 people, understood to be from the housekeeping department, downed tools and met behind the hotel’s south gate at about 11am.

Representatives of the BIU arrived at about 11.30am and walked with some of the staff to meet their employers.

Talks were resolved after several hours. It is unknown what the nature of the sit-out was.

The Hamilton Princess and the BIU have been contacted for comment.
