Dismay at ferry changes

April 13, 2011Dear Sir,I cannot begin to tell you the misery this new ferry schedule is causing my guests. It is an utter disgrace.I feel so concerned as several have told me already that, unless the ferry service is reviewed they will not be returning. They all love using the ferry and are sick for the inconvenience it is causing. In fact it is such an attraction, it has given pleasure to all my guests of all ages over the years. The restaurants in Hamilton will suffer as many guests like to eat out in the evenings. To have NO ferry service at all at the weekends is appalling. Many like to attend church at both cathedrals. Having no weekend service is another attraction blown away on Sundays. The ferries were always safe for our visitors, which the roads are not. They provide glorious scenery when travelling to Hamilton, Dockyard and St George’s. It is a marvellous, safe and social way to see Bermuda. My guests always found the ferry staff so friendly and helpful. As the owner of Salt Kettle and having been in the tourism service since 1970, with a repeat business of 95 percent, this is without doubt a very worrying situation.I would hope that the schedule can be improved and the weekend service made available again.HAZEL G LOWESalt Kettle Guest HousePaget
