April 24, 2011Dear Sir,The Agricultural Exhibition was one of the finest that I can recall, ably assisted by outstanding weather. A huge amount of work is done and ably organised by Georgette Caines. To me, what makes the Exhibition so very special is that it involves all races in Bermuda, and from the young to the old. My congratulations to everyone.In particular, I would like to congratulate all the carriage drivers, both single and double. A great deal of work is involved, from the horses to the harness to the carriages. That is no easy task. I personally found it very emotional as, for me, it brought back so many happy memories of days gone by. I applaud all the drivers and owners.A very special thank you should go to Anne Cherry and the BEF who did, as always, a remarkable job of running and organising the horse show itself. Again, this requires a huge amount of work, patience and organisation. All of this could not be done without the vast number of volunteers.I hope everyone gives themselves a pat on the back.Till next year,PATSY PHILLIPSPembroke
