Playing into the OBA’s hands
19 August 2011
Dear Sir
I have read the online comments and other blogs on the bus driver strike. I have one question addressed to these drivers: How are you planning to eat when that $30 a day strike pay is eaten up? Other than you, there is virtually no one in Bermuda who supports you. The travelling public will get by without buses; the community will pitch in; the Union will run out of money; and this idiotic effort will fail. What possesses people to make these, shall we say, less than intellectual decisions? What possesses people to follow the directives of a Chris Furbert — whom, I can absolutely, categorically assure you is not suffering financially! This is one of the most unpopular, dumb decisions that any group of unionists has ever taken. If the PLP ever gives in on this, and I am not a supporter, I am certain that the OBA better be ready to form a Government. And the Union has played right into the OBA hand, as it has ineffectively negated Paula Cogs ability to call an election anytime soon. Great work guys! Sincerely
POLLY
