A way forward

With the search on for meaningful employment, I would like to suggest that Bermuda is a perfect place to become an international environmental educational centre for other places in the world. If we implement correct environmental practices, we will improve our own Island, and help find solutions to challenges that face the rest of the world.
We can show others how to preserve indigenous flora and fauna and protect reefs, reintroduce diminishing species, remove invasive species, discourage dangerous fishing practices, handle toxic refuse in the correct manner and discourage the erection of ugly housing on beautiful spaces as well as learning the correct way to handle population density in the best possible manner.
The transformation of Bermuda into a true environmental centre would open these challenges to all levels of population instead of relegating it to the elite groups who seem to think they are the only ones charged with this responsibility. International funding might be available to pay for this venture even in these dire financial times.
