September 26, 2011Dear Sir,While Peter Bromby’s traffic strictures and recommendations “ring true”, surely Police Commisioner DeSilva’s commendable record should not be undermined by the present road fiascos!Yet our undisciplined realities have to be answered, now that our free for all road users have initiated Bermuda’s “Dodgem If You Can” era, wherein first being “pressed”, then overtaken at speeds of 80 and 90kph has become an every journey happening, especially at night!So what about it, Government? Can you allow your critics to triumph when they claim that you have fallen asleep on these traffic issues! For if remedial measures are somewhere in the works, for goodness sake and the safety of us all, do let’s hear about them!WP SCOTTSouthampton
