Tougher sentences needed
January 6, 2011Dear Sir,What I find disturbing of late is seeing people who have terrorised neighbourhoods for a year or more getting slaps-on-the-wrist like it’s no big deal to the judges or the Treatment of Offenders. If the police know what that individual is like, and recognise that giving such a person freedom only allows that individual the opportunity to terrorise that area again, the judges should be agreeing and saying that either such an individual should be incarcerated for a while in prison (via professional counselling) or made to wear an ankle bracelet that zaps the individual if he or she comes within such a property again. Another thought is probably the other place ... but even that doesn’t sound very sharp as not enough security happens there, despite some people getting help (not all are necessarily sane).SEEKING JUSTICEDevonshire
