February 2, 2012Dear Sir,The Police Service is continuously asking for witnesses to crimes and accidents but if they put more Police officers on the pavement, and roads, many of these problems would not happen. We keep on hearing about the road rage, careless and dangerous driving and third laning on our roads. It will never stop, it will get worse until we place more motorcycle officers on the roads. As I’ve said in a previous letter to the Editor, we need to have more motorcycle officers attached to the Western, Central and Eastern Stations 24/7. This may take some time, but in the end, sanity will be brought back to our roads. Chasing down traffic offenders in cars is not the answer. Motorcycle officers will solve most of the road problems. Bring back radar, the signs are in place. My solution to help pay for these suggestions would be to place all remuneration from any traffic, or marine offences, into the Police budget, and not into the General Budget of our Government.PETER BROMBY SrPaget
