A lighter pensionFebruary 12, 2012Dear Sir,I seem to have missed the explanation to Government workers that the calculation of their pension will be “light” by 12 monthly contributions. This comes about because the rules state that pension entitlement is dependent on the number of monthly contributions made. Unless (surely not!) they are to be credited with 12 contributions that have not in fact been paid. But I haven’t seen that explanation either.Perhaps your reporters could request clarification?PEDANTWarwick
