Give dog a chance
Show some humanity
February 28, 2012
Dear Sir,
I am writing in the hopes that someone in authority, with regard to the case of the dog Venom whose story was in
The Royal Gazette today, will please, please show humanity and common sense and not allow that dog to go back to anyone who has had anything to do with it prior to it being given to the SPCA.
If not for the SPCA, that dog would be dead by now. Find out who was responsible if possible, but do not send him back. Let this dog live whatever life he has left in love and comfort.
Also, please take a serious look at your current animal wardens. There is no one who could look at this dog and not tell it was suffering or being mistreated and not getting enough food, and yet they left the dog in that situation.
This Island has many, many people out of work, and surely out of all those people we could find those who can be trained and who have a true calling to see to the well-being of these animal, who can’t do or say or protect themselves. Give others a chance to make a true difference.
