March 29, 2012Dear Sir,As I see the continuous flow of trucks returning the green bales of garbage to the incinerator, two at a time, I think to myself about our Premier’s statement about the Government’s investment in Bermuda and having to go into debt to finance it, etc. Was it not this same Progressive Labour Party Government that did not invest in the proper maintenance of essential assets we already have, like the incinerator? How much did this error cost the Bermuda taxpayer? What foreign experts were paid to figure out this brilliant and expensive recovery scheme to truck mountains of garbage back and forth to Morgan’s Point as a result? Will this Government’s other new assets be left not properly maintained?This PLP Government has proved that they cannot even do our basic requirements in an organised, planned and cost effective manner. Bermudians deserve better from our politicians. A vote for the PLP is a guarantee that we will get five more years of decline and empty promises. We can’t afford that! Bermuda needs a change and now!
