High time to fix this

April 25, 2012Dear Sir,Several months ago I wrote a Letter to the Editor in your newspaper re pedestrian crossings in which I mentioned the problem created by the lack of pedestrian crossings on the main road of Hamilton opposite Dismont Robinson on Front Street East and the Railway right-of-way at Cobbs Hill Road in Warwick and the Railway right-of-way near the Harmony Cub entranceway, in Paget, but to this day nothing has been done about it by our Government.Just recently a lady was “bowled over” by a motorist on the main road by the RailwayTrail in Paget, and received serious injuries and yet no action has been taken to correct this situation, just talk about it by the Government. In the meantime they have placed a pedestrian crossing with signal lights right-of-way sign and painting on the main road at East Broadway crossing both lanes of traffic. The Railway Trail in Paget is continuously being used on a daily basis by runners, walkers, baby pram pushers and animal walkers so it should also have a priority to make a right-of-way for pedestrians.PETER BROMBY SRPaget
