June 14, 2012Dear Sir,For us Bermudians to have to pay a lot of money so that this sailor from Latvia gets a decent meal and stuff for the next 25 years is a bit much, especially when many of us are in a recession.Yes, those who can afford to drive outrageous cars and bikes or aren’t in as much a recession as others but, those who aren't in such a situation will be left struggling. And for what reason? One sailor?With other expenses people are struggling to deal with, why couldn't the courts deport this guy back to Latvia so that their police could deal with him? Why force us Bermudians who are struggling now to suffer even more?BROKE ALREADYDevonshire
