New demands will be made
September 10, 2012Dear Sir,May I make a few remarks on the “Equal Rights” issue? First I would like to stand with Bishop Lloyd Duncan and his views expressed in your paper. There were a lot of strong reactions in the way of name calling and hurtful things said in the comments after the article, from the LGBTQ supporters.Next I would like to say that all of the LGBTQ already are covered by the Human Rights laws as they are human. What this group is really after are special rights for their homosexual lifestyle, which would mean that everyone else would lose some of their rights. Home owners would lose the right to choose who they want in their apartments. Employers would lose the right to choose whom they can employ. Pastors would lose the right to preach the homosexual lifestyle as sin, and churches may even have to hire homosexuals to fill vacancies if qualified. When Dr Stubbs pushed through his Bill to decriminalise homosexuality, at the time they said that that was all they wanted, but if you give someone an inch then they will want a mile, and so it is with the LGBTQ. By including this group in equal rights laws, the politicians will be opening our society to new demands in the future such as gay parades, anti-hate legislation, gay marriage, transgenders’ allowed to use women’s changing rooms and bathrooms, Bible passages concerning homosexuals being called hate speech when read out loud.A transgender went into a Macy’s department store in California and picked out some women’s clothing and then wanted to try them on in the women’s changing room. When Natalie Johnson stopped him, he went to the management and the result was Natalie was fired. Apparently Macy’s has a policy that allows transgender to use women’s changing rooms.Brandon Wegner, a 15-year-old student, has been called “ignorant” by his school superintendent, bullied, censored, punished, and held up to ridicule, all for writing an op-Ed article explaining the Biblical view of homosexuality and supporting natural mother- father adoption. There has been a case in the news recently concerning Chick- fil-A. The Speaker of the House in New York recently wrote a letter to a state university demanding the removal of Chick-fil-A from the campus. Her retaliatory action was in response to the company’s president, Dan Cathy, affirming his belief in marriage as being between one man and one woman. Unfortunately, this intolerant response is all too typical of pro-homosexual activists. They will go to any lengths to silence the majority who believe that children do best when raised in a natural family with one mom and one dad! These activists are now trying to remove Chick-fil A from 30 campuses. It would seem that freedom of speech for the LGBTQ is only for those who agree with their position. Anyone who doesn’t agree is ridiculed and called names like homophobic, bigot, ignorant, and don’t quote the Bible because then you are using hate language. The Bible says that we are to fear God, which means Proverbs 1:7;9:10 for the most part that we are to have a reverential awe of Him, which is the exact opposite of the way the LGBTQ think of God.FEARING GODPembroke
