Bermuda visitor: Help was wonderful
September 19, 2012Dear Sir,On our cruise to Bermuda on August 15 to August 17 my wife fell off a scooter and broke her shoulder. I am not writing to complain about the scooters I am writing to thank all who helped us that day.The accident happened at the entrance to the Princess Hotel, a mini mega tour bus driver witnessed the accident and stopped. His name was Bobby and he was wonderful. He called everyone we needed including the EMTs and the police. He then stayed with us until help arrived. The EMTs were so professional and friendly, they took very good care of my wife. The police were also great. They told me just get in the ambulance and leave the scooters and they would take care of them which they did. The hospital was just as good, taking care of us everyone there from the doctors to the nurses were extremely professional. The owner of the scooter shop Eve's was so upset with what happened she wanted to do everything for us. One thing she did was she had one of her employees drive us around in her own car which made everything easier. In this day when everyone just likes to complain about everything I felt I needed to write and say thank you.I know people go to Bermuda because of the beaches and pink sand and also the scenery, but the most important asset that Bermuda has is its people. The people of Bermuda are friendly and happy to help all tourists. This will not be the last time we visit your Island. We will be back soon.BOB PENNINGTONRonkonkoma, New York
