Loyalty has limits
November 23, 2012Dear Sir,I read the letter written by Disloyal Supporter (The Royal Gazette, November 6), and he/she makes some valid points. However I feel that his son is fickle to give up on Liverpool in favour of Manchester City. Liverpool has less financial resources and finds it difficult to compete with cash laden City, who can buy all the expensive players. Loyalty should have its limits, and needs to be deserved. Should there be a limit to loyalty, when the loyalty is only repaid by betrayal?Would you continue to be loyal and support:1. A doctor who has repeatedly failed to practice medicine with wrong diagnoses and botched operations?2. A store which has overcharged for substandard or date expired food and whose employees are rude and unhelpful?3. A housekeeper who has broken valuable possessions and stolen money and other things?4. A financial advisor who has repeatedly made bad decisions and embezzled ones money and caused you to go bankrupt?I hope I have made a point. The PLP is very fortunate to have loyal supporters as they have suffered betrayal after betrayal. A lot of Bermudians are facing a dismal future. By the way, I still support Liverpool even though they could play better!CHANGERSandys
