Truly an excellent event

December 5, 2012

Dear Sir,

On Saturday evening, my wife and I had the distinct pleasure of being invited as guests to the celebration of 46 years of Independence for the island of Barbados. For the Barbados Association, it had been a week long series of events, which culminated with a fantastic banquet held in the Harborview Ballroom, at the Fairmont Hamilton Princess. From the featured speaker, Senator The Honourable Darcy Boyce of Barbados, to the food and entertainment, this was truly an excellent event and one which the Barbados Community living here in Bermuda should be very proud. A special thank you to Dr Rudy Alleyne, President of the Association, his wife, and members of the Executive for a job well done! We certainly appreciate the contributions that the Barbados Association has made to Bermuda, and we wish our sister island continued success as it seeks to construct it’s new hospital, build more low income housing, implement its alternative energy initiatives, and all of the other agenda items spoken to by Senator Boyce. So, to our Barbadian friends and family, congrats again on celebrating 46 yeas of independence!
